Camping Starter List
Whether you need a supply list for Women’s Weekend of Wheeling or a short trip in the woods, we’ve got a starter list for you.
Tent or something to sleep in.
Sleeping bag or blankets - be sure to check the weather before hand so you know what the lowest temperature will be. Sleeping bags have a temperature rating, so you’ll know exactly what temperatures it will work for. It is typically much colder up north than it typically is around the twin cities.
Air mattress, cot, something cozy to add to the floor if you want some extra cushion.
Flashlights
Towel, washcloth, wet wipes, paper towels
Deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, and any other hygeine items you need.
Non-perishable food items for breakfast, snacks, or even dinner. Dehydrated meals work great if you have a jetboil.
Cooler if you need to keep any items cold.
Water and beverages
Mini fan if the temperatures are high
Clothes
Rain jacket, hoodie, warm jacket
Mud shoes or hiking boots, and something comfortable for after you’re done on the trail to relax in.
Bug spray and/or thermacell
Sunblock
Hat, visor, sunglasses, neck gaiter
